Supports Sam Clovis

To the editor,

Iowa's motto is "Our liberties we prize and our rights we maintain."

One way to ensure that is electing the right person next November.

It begins with the primary on June 3. Sam Clovis is best qualified to be Iowa's next U.S. Senator.

I know Sam best from his daily radio program Impact With Sam.

What an impact he did have on his listeners.

He was a gracious host, a leader at encouraging, reminding us of our civic duties, his natural teaching instincts have explained things well to us, a tireless worker.

I can't imagine how he packs so much into his day and yet keeps his sense of humor, a conservative through and through.

He's a true patriot. He is a great orator. Some day I hope you have an opportunity to hear him talk about the four pillars of America's strength.

He took an oath to defend the constitution when he joined the Air Force.

After 25 years in the service he retired as a colonel and still lectures at the Center for Homeland Defense and the Navel Postgraduate School.

He considers himself to still be under that oath.

The more we listened to him, the more we wanted him to run for office. We felt he would make a great senator; so when he made the announcement, we cheered.

He is putting into practice the one assignment he gave his radio listeners - "do one more thing."

We have attended two Republican senatorial candidate debates and listened to some via the computer.

Clovis is knowledgeable on so many issues, defense, economics, education. He gives truthful answers, not political rhetoric.

I can't wait to see him and Bruce Braley debate.

Now, I am asking you to do one more thing, vote for Sam Clovis on June 3. Thank you.
