A thousand thank you’s

April 11, 2014
Paul and Janna Swanson/ Ayrshire , Farm News

To the editor,

We are long time readers of Farm News. We are also one of the families that would be directly impacted by Rock Island Clean Line's monstrous extension cord.

Their route runs right by our house and on or within a quarter-mile of every bit of property we farm.

My husband and I have two little daughters that would be raised near it since we have no way to move from here.

We have been living under RICL's threat for more than six months and it has been scathing and stressful.

Thank-you a thousand times over for your consideration of our plight. Your April 4 articles were very well stated.

We liked especially that you pointed out that we are not against wind power, just against the use of eminent domain for economic development.
