The Barn Owls put ‘spring’ into barn dances

AMES — In 1992, Jon Duvick had little idea, having just started a job with Pioneer Seed, that he’d be performing in The Barn Owl Band for over three decades. “I was part of the initial meeting that formed the band,” said Duvick. “We were going to do dances once a month and were expected to come up with music for barn dancers that would last about two hours.
